SOME OF THE BEST POETRY BOOKS OF 2017 PART ONE

Verbal criticism, often, is a gesture.  It points, with language, at something it wants someone else (you, dear reader) to notice - to read, and, yes, to appreciate.

Cover photos are pointers as good as a brief essay and they do not require a university degree to understand. In this series of brief posts, which may run for a few weeks or more, we will be pointing to some of the poetry books you might consider worth reading, if you have the time. These are some of the best of the year. Not all. But some.
